About us
The pandemic paved the way
During the first lockdown due to Covid-19, we all sat in our homes creating new music. We started to share the ideas together, and this is how it started. The first song foundations were set virtually. In summer of 2020 we all met together in person for a two-week try-out/recording-session. The result was great and we decided to keep on working. In 2021 we came up with the plan to record the to-date songs professionally. Despite the great idea we realized that we needed the money. As a consequence we started a crowdfunding campaign which proved to be successful, thanks to a great audience supporting us!
In April 2022 we released our music on all common streaming platforms and gave three live release concerts. We even were invited to a few festivals during the summer! That's great and we are super thankful for all the opportunities to bring our music to the stage and to the people!
What we do
Bazodee is a word with different meanings. The British translation would be "to be head over heels in love". In Trinidad & Tobago it would mean "to be dazed, stunned or confused". We chose this name because we established the band during crazy times that left us completely confused. However, working together on songs at distance was stunning. We learnt a lot about technologies and ourselves. And suddenly we were head over heels in love with this project which ultimately became Bazodee!
We love to experiment will all the musical backgrounds each individual brings with. Elements of Jazz, Blues, Soul, Groove, Rock, Funk, Metal, .... everything is being cooked within the same pot to see what happens. The results have been great. Even better is our musical connection and how we transfer this into a great sound!
